Our Short Breaks & Activities service provides young people aged 16+ with opportunities for social engagement, skill development, and independence-building experiences.

Social & Community Engagement

  • Day trips and outings – Activities like bowling, cinema trips, nature walks, and theme park visits.
  • Group activities – Cooking, gaming, music, and art sessions in a safe, structured environment.
  • Peer support groups – Opportunities to socialise and make friends in a supportive space.

Independent Living & Life Skills

  • Daily living skills – Support with cooking, budgeting, travel training, and personal care.
  • Vocational training – Guidance on work experience, volunteering, and preparing for employment.
  • Supported accommodation taster sessions – Helping young people transition towards independent living.

Respite & Wellbeing Support

  • Overnight & weekend short breaks – Giving young people a chance to experience new environments and develop confidence.
  • Wellbeing activities – Yoga, mindfulness, and sensory-based activities to support emotional regulation.
  • Parent & carer relief – Providing a safe and structured space for young people while families take a break.
